This large panel has just been installed to further obscure a large bathroom window; I make lots of windows for bathrooms and toilets and it is a great place to put a stained glass window as it adds privacy and interest to small rooms. At just over a metre square its a striking feature which is visible through the bathroom into the upstairs landing. The window has been fixed in front of the existing textured double glazed panel and really livens up the space. All the fish are made with iridescent water glass and have been hand painted and kiln fired. The panel is leaded using traditional techniques

My new design for the summer was launched at the Craft Hub Spring fair last weekend and I already have several custom orders for summer wedding gifts! So the new design is a vintage style bird cage with 2 hand painted love birds sitting in it on clear, seedy glass. All made using traditional leading and painting techniques, just like church stained glass windows, these panels are fresh and contemporary and will look great in any home. On my first batch I have painted the words love birds into the coloured glass areas and they are perfect for any sunny window; however, they come into their own when the love birds inscription is changed to the names of a happy couple for a wedding, engagement or anniversary. I can also make these in any colour, one of my current commissions is to use blue and yellow glass as this is the colours of the brides favourite football team! Fancy one? I have 3 sizes for every pocket, from £45 to £8. Have I solved your present problems? Then order one off my website or my folksy shop!

I have just got back from installing 2 sky light panels to a wonderful apartment over looking the sea in Sidmouth
led them to contact me. The apartment is a large, light modern
building and I took inspiration for the designs from the artwork and pottery around the home. I did a range of designs, from beach huts reflecting some paintings in the lounge to fish inspired by some fabulous pottery.
I have used a very limited pallet of colours in the panel, but there are 10 different types of glass used in the panel in total as I have used a wide range of textures and translucencies. Some of the glass is almost opaque and uses lovely hand drawn yellow/orange and light blue glass and some has quite a deep textured pattern (glass makers call this a hammered surface) the range of textures will make wonderful coloured reflections on the floor and walls. Each fish has an eye made of white/black flashed glass which I have etched with an etching pen and acid etching creme which I have then stuck to the surface of the glass with glass adhesive to give an extra sense of depth and a playful touch. The panels are fixed to the inside of velux windows with special stained glass fixing clips especially designed for this job and the windows have really lifted and brightened the space without overwhelming the room. Special thanks to my Dad (as usual), who very kindly fitted them for me!
